SAMA CH2000- Military Tactical Surveillance Aircraft (SAMA CH2000-MTSA)

The Standard Alarus CH2000 is a full IFR/VFR, Day-Night, two seat all metal aircraft. The aircraft comes equipped with an FAA approved Dual Air-bag system.

The CH2000 is type certified in the normal and utility categories by the FAA. It is also certified in all main European countries.

For applications that does not require certification (military), the aircraft has been expanded to include a larger Lycoming engine up to 180-200 HP, and increased gross weight to 2,200 lbs. Additionally, a high tech surveillance system can be installed. This aircraft is called the SAMA CH2000

Pilot safety is a first priority. The CH2000 was the first GA aircraft to be certified with a dual air-bag system. It neatly fits into the seatbelt and inflates within 50 milliseconds away from the occupant upon a 16g forward directional impact with the ground to minimize head and spinal chord injury.

The CH2000 was designed to withstand twice the load factor that was required for certification. Putting together a tough airframe with a 25 Kts. crosswind-landing ability makes the CH2000 one of the safest aircraft to operate.

Because of its relatively low noise and heat signatures among other characteristics the SAMA has the perfect stealthy profile for aerial surveillance and monitoring, increasing the effectiveness of its missions and improving the safety of its pilots.

2 -Endurance

The SAMA CH2000 is built of tough All-metal Monocoque construction using modern Aluminum technology giving the aircraft very durable and low-fatigue airframe requiring minimal maintenance and offering high corrosion resistance. This is very important for severe winter and summer environments where summer temperatures can sore to over 45C and above, and with winter conditions that are very cold and sometimes icy, and wind and humidity can eat away at the hulls of the aircraft, making them weak and susceptible to failure while decreasing their overall life.

The toughness of the SAMA CH2000 construction described above is in contrast to the environmentally affected composite aircrafts which are very susceptible to varying temperatures, humidity, wind, dust and other extreme dessert conditions, and might not be able to handle the Iraqi theatre.

Moreover, the SAMA CH2000 filtration systems take into account the extreme conditions during flight and while on the Ground, and are able to withstand long hours under these extreme conditions, like Sand storms that can wreak havoc on cooling systems, engines, and other sensitive parts.

Also, with the upgrade to the larger and highly durable wheels, the SAMA can be operated on soft landing surfaces as well as remote sites where landing strips might be rough and unpaved, or composed mainly of sand. The larger surface area of these upgraded wheels allows the aircraft to maneuver well and to take-off and land with ease.

5 -Surveillance/Communication System

The SAMA CH2000 Electronic surveillance platform is built on state of the art Ultra 8500FW Gyro stabilized optical-electronic system with cooled IR Thermal imaging and daytime TV camera capable of detecting a man-sized target at 3-3.5km range from 2,000ft+ AGL in clear weather with 90%+ atmospheric transmission.

Long-Range Fixed-Wing FLIR

The new lightweight, triple-payload-capable Ultra 8500FW is designed for fixed-wing surveillance applications, particularly on lightweight aircraft or airframes where reduced drag is important. The 8500FW offers extraordinary range performance for its size with a new optical extender delivering a 450-mm focal length. The system features FLIR’s new high-definition digital infrared Indium Antimonide (InSb) imager, delivering image quality on par with systems at twice the cost.

The 8500FW comes standard with a new laptop controller designed with a large, comfortable joystick for extended missions. FLIR’s best-in-class auto-tracker, continuous IR zoom, .2-lux low-light TV and full auto-focus make this system the ideal choice for fixed-wing surveillance applications. Add the optional Class III3b CW diode laser pointer, and ground forces equipped with night-vision goggles can clearly see the 30-mw laser's beam and spot, though it remains invisible to the suspect. Icon-based on-screen color graphics promote rapid in-flight decision-making.

Communications Suite

The Communications suite consists of internal crew intercom with the ability to communicate with Air Traffic Control (ATC) facilities and operational agencies, both LOS and BLOS via voice on:

Civil/ Military VHF Voice 118 – 136.975 MHz: Standard radio frequency for normal

communications with ATC and other aircraft. This is served by the standard radio system on

the SAMA.

Comm. Equipment will be equivalent to Bendix/King, Collins, Eastman Avionics, Harris, or Jordan Space Technology.

OPTIONAL: Military Advanced Tactical Radio System

-
Tactical Radio System 30 to 512 MHz spectrums

-
HF Radio with (ALE Capability) 1.5 - 30 MHz

-
Available with Citadel encryption

OPTIONAL: Digital video recorder

Dv6010R is a cost-efficient digital video recorder specifically designed for mobile security applications when a removable hard drive is required. This model is completed mobile ready and designed for tough mobile conditions. With DVD-level high quality video and audio recording, the DVR is also compact. Its compact size is less than half the size of general time lapsed VCR. The DV6010R is 12V DC powered, has an enhanced cooling system, and an optional space saver on-dash remote control.
